They say a leopard can't change its spots. In my case, that's certainly true. Destiny has brought me back to my roots, to my land, my landscapes, the scents of my childhood. And upon them, I'm now building a life project that I'd like to share.
I'm Marta. I was born in Torralba de los Sisones , in the northwest of Teruel, a real place. A small village of one hundred and thirty inhabitants, located on a unique plateau at over a thousand meters above sea level. In this depopulated Spain, they say, so full and rich in the things that truly matter.
My whole family comes from this region. Looking back to my childhood, I remember my parents always tending the livestock. Sometimes, they would take me along to graze them. And almost like a game, I learned the trade from my mother , in the lambing pens, feeding, tending, and caring for the animals.
I've lived in the city since I left home to study. With maturity came work, children… life and its ups and downs. Until my parents retired and, in 2021, my heart brought me back here. It's been a round trip.
I am the last livestock farmer in my family. I raise meat goats in the traditional, free-range way. I love the rural world and would like to connect it with you through this natural, accessible, and sustainable culinary offering.
